I used to do a similar one for dinner parties when we were first married (80’s). This is a very yummy version of it.
This was inspired and adapted recently from a Woolies recipe :)… the book club girls loved it for lunch!
Sourdough Loaf Mediterranean Dip

Ingredients
- large sourdough loaf
- 250g cream cheese
- 100ml sour cream
- ¼ cup tomato paste
- 1 punnet capsicum/feta/olive mix (available in deli section supermarket)
- 80g mild or hot salami (chopped)
- 1 tblspn oregano (chopped)
Pantry Staple
- olive oil/olive oil spray
- grated cheese
Instructions
Preheat Oven: 180 C
Prepare Sourdough Loaf
- Cut off the top half of sourdough loaf.
- Cut the top half into bite size pieces.
- Line baking tray with baking paper and place loaf in the middle of the tray.
- Place loaf pieces around the bottom half of the loaf.
- Spray the sourdough with olive oil spray or drizzle oil over.
Preparing the Dip
- Combine together all the other ingredients in a bowl.
- Top the lower half of the loaf with all the dip
- Sprinkle over the dip some grated cheese.
- Place baking tray in oven .
- Bake for about 20mins or until bread is lightly toasted, dip is warm and cheese is golden.
- Serve hot!
