Day 10 – Canberra to Bowral (172kms)

Our day started with breakfast at Wildflour Artisan Bakery and Cafe, Fyshwick  (which was a recommendation from a friend Sue, who lives now in Canberra). This café did not disappoint… delish pastries and coffee!

Very close by were two upmarket second hand clothing stores (both recommended by Sue). Designer Op Shop Emporium and Cafe was fabulous to browse. We didn’t buy anything here but it was a real browsing experience.

Material Pleasures is a definite recommendation for finding clothing treasures. Jen and I were trying on lots and lots of stuff… and came out with bags of clothes!!! This shop has become my fave in Canberra!!

Now was the time for my surprise for Jen. I had bought tickets for us to go to the Van Gogh Alive exhibition.

It was engaging, memorising, fabulous and exceeded our expectations completely. WE LOVED IT!!! Jen said it was the definite highlight of the trip :). If you have not seen this, it is definitely worth seeing.

Couldn’t believe how colour coordinated we were together and to the exhibition… lol.

From here we travelled to Bowral and enjoyed our stay at the Gilbraltar Hotel. Was a bit of a splurge at the end of our trip.
