Day 5 – Narooma to Tathra (82kms)

Our first stop today is at Tilba. We were hoping to visit the Foxglove gardens but unfortunately they were closed šŸ™ We then HAD to resort to more retail therapy in the Tilba shops to compensateā€¦ lol.

Amongst our browsing we discovered the Eumun Tea shop. What a treasure!!! They have 200 specialty teas and the BIGGEST range of Earl Grey I have EVER seen. I wanted to buy the complete range :). Suffice to say ā€“ we had a delightful Devonshire tea insteadā€¦ sampling one of the Earl Grey varieties. As a connoisseur of Devonshire teas (lol)ā€¦ the scone was light, large and delish, the jam homemade, chunky and yumā€¦ and the cream was thick and not aerated. And the vintage tea set was gorgeous. Great start to the day!!

Onwards to Bermagui. Another coastal town!!! The water here is a gorgeous sea-green!

Visited the spectacular Blue Pool ( a very large sea water pool) ā€“ was a good work out walking down the stairs.

After driving around Bermagui appreciating the locality, lunching at the Marina we headed 40mins further south to Tathra.

The Tathra Historic wharf is definitely worth a visit. Continue from the wharf along the path up onto the headland for fabulous views.

We stayed at the Big 4 Tathra Beach Holiday Park ā€“ and while it wasnā€™t on the water side of the main road ā€“ the park was very well maintained and gardened. We loved the cabin here and would recommend this park.
